How did Grygla Public School District students do on 2021-22 MCA and MTAS Math tests?

Grygla Public School District ranked third in the Marshall County for test participation, with 72 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Grygla Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year fell by 4% from the previous year.

Grygla Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 47% in 2021-22 school year.

Sixth grade students stood out with 30% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, third grade students had the most room for improvement, with 25% not meeting the expected standards.

Grygla Public School District encompasses schools within Marshall County and has a main office in Grygla.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
